Chelsea full-back Emerson gets taken to societal media to state his harm»isn’t anything serious», once he siphoned off during Italy’s 2-1 win over Finland on Sunday evening.
The 25-year-old, who has started all Chelsea’s games from the Premier League so far this year, hobbled off with eight minutes after appearing to injure his hamstring in a challenge with Finland striker Teemu Pukki, gone in the Euro 2020 qualifier.
However, Emerson tweeted following the game to guarantee fans his injury wasn’t as bad as first feared.
«Very important success today guys,» he said. «Unfortunately I had a little harm, but it’s nothing serious. Let us continue like this!»
Italy boss Roberto Mancini also confirmed he replaced Emerson just because of precaution, stating after the game:’It was nothing serious, he ceased to ensure it did not get any worse.»
Emerson’s Chelsea team-mate Jorginho scored the winning goal because his penalty cancelled out the second-half spot-kick of Norwich’s Pukki.
